National Data Opt-Out

The NHS national data opt-out was introduced on 25 May 2018, enabling patients to opt out from the use of their data for research or planning purposes.

From July 2022 the policy was extended to include all health and social care settings and now everyone has the choice to prevent their “confidential patient information” from being shared with other organisations where it is used for reasons beyond individual treatment and care.

To comply with this policy, Hillcroft have procedures in place to review the use or disclosure of confidential patient information and we have updated our privacy notice to reflect this (our privacy notice is available on our website or on request).

At this time, we do not share any data for planning or research purposes for which the national data opt-out would apply. You can find out more information at:
