As the Hillcroft Nursing Home Group is well respected in the local community, Hillcroft nurses are well respected within our organisation; some of our carers aspire to progress to nursing and find mentors and role models in their nursing colleagues. Something we actively invest in is an apprenticeship scheme and our matrons and nurses are shining examples for any ambitious individual. Our Assistant Practitioners are also a valuable support network for the nursing team.
Relationships are important to us at Hillcroft, a sense of family is part of our DNA. Being a Hillcroft nurse means you have the opportunity to look after people and not patients just passing through. Continuity of care is something that our residents take comfort in and really does matter to them and to their loved ones.
There is also opportunity to move around our six homes if you choose to, developing competencies in palliative care, elderly nursing, behavioural support, dementia and end of life care. Our very own on-site Hillcroft Academy based at our Slyne home location ensures that continual training and progression is part and parcel of life for a Hillcroft nurse.
We also run a Brand Champion programme to ensure all our homes are united and have a voice. Our ethos is ‘Welcome Home’ and we get together regularly to discuss ways to make our residents feel truly at home. We are proud of all our colleagues.
We live by our values of Caring, Respectful and Committed at Hillcroft; respectful of each other and caring and committed to our purpose of enriching the lives of our residents.
