Residential care

What do we mean by residential care?

Residential care is a type of long-term care that provides personal care, and support services to elderly individuals who are no longer able to live independently in their own homes. The care is tailored to the individual’s needs and preferences and may include a range of services, such as:

Personal care: Provides assistance with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting. Care Assistants work closely with the individual to provide personalized care that respects their dignity and privacy.

Medical care: Qualified staff provide medical care, such as medication management, wound care, and monitoring of chronic conditions.

Social and recreational activities: Providing opportunities for socialisation and engagement in recreational activities, such as games, music, and arts and crafts. These activities are designed to promote social connections and mental stimulation.

Nutrition and meal services: Providing meals and snacks to individuals, taking into consideration any dietary restrictions or preferences.
